Samsung s5 stopped ringing

My s5 suddenly the speaker feature stopped working a few days ago. Did an update...everything was fine again for a day and now the speaker, ringtones,alerts, and alarm clock do not work. Have tried what we could but am wondering if it is a hardware problem. How do i test this? Am i off totally? Phone is less than 6 months old and has not been damaged

Having a properly working device is key to enjoying your services with us Armwe3. I'm here to help with your speakerphone/ringer issue. I just need a few additional details. Have you already tried removal of the battery for about 5-10 minutes? Does the volume level show as high for all sounds (Ringtone, Media, Notifications, System) under Settings>Sound and notification and is the Sound Mode set to Sound? Lastly, are there any icons appearing in your on screen notifications top display that aren't usually there?

I have removed the battery for 30 seconds....i will try 10 minutes. The

volume is turned up, settings have not been changed. The icons show

everything turned up. Settings shows sound mode. The only differences have

been the samsung update and i did get a bluetooth planetronics m55 ear

piece.

Thanks for all the details and for trying those steps Armwe3. I'm sorry the speaker isn't working. ARe you able to hear on the bluetooth? Do you have any 3rd party apps downloaded to the phone that sync with the sound mode or notifications? If so, we recommend removing them temporarily.
