What are normal 4G LTE speeds?

I live in the metro Detroit area and for the last 6 months ( or more ) I've been unable to see above 15Mbps

I have unlimited data and tried at the beginning and end of cycles with no variance. Different phones as well.

I have several customers who are experiencing the same issues. Just wanted to check to see if it's a network problem before filing a complaint with the FCC. ( Promote/Promise 4G with a failure to provide adequate service )

Lets get you back on the 4G fast lane cole.ebersole. The average 4G speeds range from 5-12mbps for upload speeds and 2-5mbps for download speeds. Do you notice speeds issues when you are in a certain location only? What make and model phone do you have?

Why would upload speeds be twice as fast? That doesn't seem logical. I just tested in downtown with full signal and received 8Mbps (download). Before Verizon started "optimization" or "throttling" I was getting 20+. I frequently use the HotSpot for work to link several devices. With 8Mbps down, I may as well be using dial-up.

I'm using an S6 edge.

I certainly hear your need for speed. We know that having the best speeds uploading and downloading is important. We do not throttle 4G LTE services. 8 Mbps is above our national speed range of 2-5 Mbps downloading. Have you tried powering the device off/on since the speeds decreased? How many bars of signal strength are appearing on the device when the issue occurs? Do the speeds vary based on time of day or location?
