How to Make a Collect Call

Is it possible to make a collect call from a Verizon cell phone to a land line? If so, how?

Reason I ask is that we're going to Europe next week and some of the bank & credit card support numbers say to call collect to a US number for problems. We'll have the Verizon 100/100/100 international plan. I just want to be sure I can call if I need to.

There is no benefit to calling collect because no matter what you do, you will use your minutes, which will come out of your 100 plan minutes. Just dial + 1 800 nnn-nnnn.

Yeah, I guess you're right. I guess I was thinking (dangerous) that there'd be a way for Verizon to handle it like on a land line. I guess I'll just have to spend the minutes if necessary, or look for a phone box or PTT & use the land line. Oh well...

Buy a international calling card from Walgreens before you travel , you can use it to call back to US if needed.
