What causes apps to minimize and bounce on its own?

Droid MAXX began sporadically minimizing any open apps back and forth at various speeds making it impossible to use. Virus? Malware? Device malfunction? I have not found any references to this problem. I've done a factory reset, used safe mode, and niether of these stop the problem.

@LeoL_VZW tbo27 The phone has not been damaged by water or other events. I think I have resolved the issue. The google pull up search bar had been showing up when I was encountering these events. I uninstalled the google search update and it seems to have been the culprit as I have not had the problems since. Have you seen this or heard of it before?

We want you to have the best possible experience with your device, and it certainly sounds strange that the apps are bouncing around like that. Do you have any sort of case or screen protector on the device? Is it possible that if a protector is on there, for some reason the device is picking that up? Has the device ever been wet or damaged?
