Does anyone know if Verizon Wi-Fi calling is available in the Raleigh area now?
Great question! WiFi calling can be accessed from any area. Right now this feature is available for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

This is correct. As of now, the update is still unavailable for my GS6 in order to allow wifi calling. Hopefully later today.:smileyhappy:
Seems to be working on my Samsung Galaxy Note 5 now after I changed the advanced settings!
My Samsung Galaxy S6 received the update, I activated the wifi calling in the settings, but it still does not work (Only went through successfully one time). Every other time it says dialing for a while, and then it says that it is out of the service area, although the outgoing calls indicate that it was a wifi call.
Hopefully it work soon.
Will I be able to use wifi calling on cruise ships that have high speed data ?
Will there be additional charge since I would be calling U.S phone numbers both landlines and cellular

That is a great question Tonyo906. I know you want to be covered while traveling. If your connected to the cruise ship’s Wi-Fi when making a phone call then it should not cost you any money. However if the signal is slow or has latency and you have your phone on then you will get charged the cruse rates. I would recommend putting your phone on Airplane mode to avoid any type of charges. PamelaF_VZW, yes, advanced calling is enabled for both voice and video. I also changed the "When roaming" setting to "Prefer Wifi." Not sure what is wrong. Thank you for your help!
