My wife and i both bought note 4s the same dat and she has this new version 5.6 3 and mine still has 5.5.30 and wont update it has been about a week and a half how come mine isnt updating

Is there an update available when you look in your Google Play Store?
Sometimes they don't roll out the latest update for every device to ensure that it works first and can resolve any issues should they arise.
I check google play store everyday no update availavle
You can wait for it to roll out or if you are within 14 days of your purchase date you can return the phone, pay the restocking fee and get a different ones; I'd just have them check to see if it has the latest software. Does her note 4 do something in message+ that your phone doesn't?
I have had the phone for about 6 months. My software on my phone is up to date and as far as her app yes the whole layout is different and able to organize messages
