Phone contact disappear, only Google connected ones are on device or online now

All of my phone contacts disappeared. The only contacts available now are what I had in my Google account. They aren't available on my phone nor are they available through my backup assistant (now cloud). Just gone. Is there any way to get them back?

Depending on your model of phone, go to your contacts screen, tap settings/menu, and look for "Contacts to Display" or similar. You might just have Verizon unchecked.

I have the same problem. Woke up this morning to see no contacts on my phone or in the Verizon cloud. Nothing to display or backup. Verizon cloud says I have no contacts to backup on device or cloud. Hello Verizon! What did you do to remove our contacts while we were sleeping? I call this theft.

Best suggestion I know of is when you finally get your contacts back, export them into a csv file and import into Gmail. Use Google contacts from now on.

Nunya121, I would be lost if all of my contacts were removed from the phone. So I know how important it is to have them back in the device. If you log into your Verizon Cloud on a computer are you able to check the trash can for us to see if the contacts are listed in there on accident. If so, you should be able to select all contacts in the trash and restore them to the address book. Once that is complete then re-run the Verizon Cloud on your phone and check to see if the contacts are placed back into the phone for you. Please keep us posted.

Unfortunately, the only ones in the trash online are ones that were legitimately deleted. The ones I am missing are not there either.

We'd never steal your contacts away. Our backup servers stores content deleted in error up to 60 days past the phone deletion date. Have you already contacted our tech support team to have a ticket filed to get that information back into your Cloud?
