When composing a new text message, how do I REMOVE the "recently contacted" list so I do NOT have to see the last 6 avatars/images, nor the actual list of recently contacted people?

When a message exceeds 1-text-length in characters, how do I INCLUDE a number to each text to indicated "text 1 of 2" and the like?

How do I change the tone for reminder notifications?

These are options available on other text messaging apps which I've become accustom. Now that I'm using VZ Message, I see I am missing them, horribly. Do they exist with VZ Message?

Once you tap in the area to compose your text, the most recent contacts are gone, replaced by your keyboard and the messaging area. I don't know if there is a way to get rid of the avatars or listing when you open the app, I just start typing my message and they are gone.

That may depend on the carrier of the recipient - if they break it up into multiple messages or deliver all as one - and if the messages are numbered. I suppose you could add it manually, I don't know if adding that is consistent across carriers.

How do I change the tone for reminder notifications? Go to your general settings and change it there. You didn't specify which phone you have, but it would be under Settings, Sounds, Notifications, Messages....something like that. There is not a way to have a specific contact notification with Verizon Messages app, and the notification for text messages is set int he phone settings. If Messages is set as your default app, then you'll hear the sound you have set.

Some do, some don't. If it doesn't work for you, and you've found another texting app you like better, then use that one. I'm using Messages + for now, it works on my tablet and phone, and I like that. It may not be the best texting app for everyone though.
