Ever since i updated the phone, the contacts disappear from the phone. They are still in the cloud but when the backup updates they disappear again. What can i do to stop this from happening?
landfillwizard We surely don't want your contacts to disappear. Let's get to the bottom of why this keeps happening. Tell us which Android device you have. Also, which cloud service are you using? The Verizon Cloud or a 3rd party application? Do your contacts only reappear after you restore from the Cloud?

I have a Samsong S4 and use the Verizon Cloud. I did not have any problems until I updated the software. Now it seems every time I have an automatic backup the contacts disappear. They are still in the cloud thankfully.
You can keep this from happening by loading all of your contacts back to your phone or exporting them from Verizon Cloud to a CSV file, then importing them into your Google account. If you load them all back to your phone then, change them all to Google contacts and let Google do the backup and syncing for you. You will have tons less problems and end up keeping your contacts up to date and accurate.

The easiest way is to download an app called Contacts Optimizer and you can move them all over at once in a matter of seconds. I will also look to see the easiest way on the S4 natively
