How to adjust Lock screen timeout on Samsung S6 Edge ?

The lock screen times out in about 2 to 5 seconds irrespective of the regular screen timeout settings. Disabling the lock screen is not a solution.

What if the phone is lost and someone is trying to read the owners info on the lock screen to return the phone ? There are ways to recover, but why not we should be able to adjust it for various other reasons ?

Making sure that you have the options to configure your phone is important to us, mujahidvv. To clarify, regarding lock screen time out options, are you looking to make sure the screen stays on do display a text alert, justin case you lose the phone and someone finds it?

To clarify, you are not referring to someone pressing the home or power key to turn the display on in the event someone finds your phone, correct?

If someone finds it, may be it is possible to keep the screen on depending on the phone locating software. But I don't know that. As of now I am sure that the display is going to turn off in about 5 seconds. Even if I keep my finger on the display. I need to be able to adjust the timeout setting on lock screen..

There is no setting to adjust the lock screen time. Its not just your device it is like that on ALL smartphones.
