Additionally, what plan you have is important.

On the old Nationwide Plan, Verizon mobile to Verizon mobile talk minutes were included. Some texting plans included Verizon mobile to Verizon mobile texts. I don't think any of them included Verizon mobile to other provider mobile unless you had an unlimited texting plan. They did not include Verizon mobile to other provider mobile calling minutes except if the recipient was in your friends/family list of contacts.

If you are on the More Everything or new Verizon plan, you have unlimited calling & texting to all US numbers regardless of provider unless you are on the lowest tier in which case you may have some limits.
