How do I use Visual Voicemail for iPhone 6 ?

The phone says visual voice mail is not available when I am on the phone, however when I am off the phone..it doesn't show up anywhere.. I don't see it as an addition in settings either. According to Verizon I should have iPhone Visual Voice mail basic.

Is it not showing when you look under the phone app (green button with the telephone)? Voicemail should be the 5th icon at the bottom.
