Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is not working with LTE network outside the U.S.

I want to use Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge outside US and ended the contract. It always displays this message "SIM card is not from Verizon" in notification area.

Initially, I was afraid that it was locked with Verizon but it is working fine with GSM/2G. The only problem comes when I try to use LTE/4G - it do not get any signal. I have confirmed from cellular networks that it is compatible with their LTE frequency bands.

I am sorry to hear you close your account with us. Your phone is a global device that works anywhere in the world! I am glad to know it is working abroad. The LTE/4G signal is meant to work in our own network here in the U.S.A. You would need to ask your international provider how to set up your phone settings to work in the network desired as we would not have further information how their LTE signal works. You may also contact Samsung directly about the network mode settings that will work best for your international provider as this would depend on their signal frequency.

Did you input the APN required to connect? If not then you need to do so and you have to get it fron the carrier you are trying to use.

I have correctly configured APN and mobile data is also turned on. The current network mode is set to be "LTE/CDMA" but this did not work and no signal was received. It was prompted on screen after a few seconds to change the network mode to "Global".

Here LTE networks are using 1800 MHz (band 3) and it is confirmed that this device is compatible with this frequency band. Mobile data in GSM mode is working fine but when I switch it to "LTE/CDMA" mode, indicator remains grey and I can not make calls/receive sms until reverting it back either to "Global" or "LTE/GSM/UMTS".

LTE/CMDA is for use on the Verizon netowrk. If you're not using the device on Verizon network you SHOULD be using Global or LTE/GSM/UMTS. So I'm not seeing what your issue is.

The issue is him unable to get LTE when he should be able to, and he is trying to find out why.

Current network mode is LTE/GSM/UMTS and have also checked the APN values several times and found no error. In this mode, signal indicator in notification area shows white bars with a grey E at top left side but it should be turned into 4G LTE icon.
