I have been a Verizon user since the "bag phones" were all the rage. I've finally upgraded all the way to an Android and have been texting/surfing/gaming/calling on it with no problem for almost a year. I've recently incurred some legal trouble with a nursing facility where my 51 year old cousin lives. (He's got Cerebral Palsy and mild retardation. He functions as, maybe, a 16 year old boy. I am his caregiver.e
My problem is the home he's living in (which I chose for him via medical recommendation) is fighting me for his conservator-ship. I have had a fantastic working relationship with all management/staff of this facility for 7 years. I have all their personal numbers and can call/text any one of them at any given time to check up on my cousin. (Did I mention I'm his closest next-of-kin?) I rescued him and his mamma from a "old folks home" 8 years ago. I brought his mamma home to live with me and cared for until she passed away 2 years ago. I've been allowed to make medical/prescription decisions for my cousin ALL THIS TIME. Now they're saying I'm making bad decisions for him and trying to take him away.
In the last 7 months there have been quite a few issues I've had to deal with regarding his medical care. I'm not going into more detail than this but, I've always told them I didn't want him to become so drugged that he's unable to carry on a conversation with anyone. Because of his unique abilities he's always been the life of every party/event. He's a dynamic man.
There's some text messages between me and some of his healthcare providers that are pertinent to my conservator-ship. I need to print them out for my attorney ASAP.
Here are the steps I've taken:
I've read many forums/articles on My Verizon regarding text messaging including, but not limited to, even with a court document requesting Verizon to print out copies of my text messages they will only go back 7-10 days.
I downloaded the app (Verizon Messages) from Google Play to my laptop and received a message saying it's been installed. It works on my Android just fine JUST for reading/sending text. After downloading the app I was told (by Google Play) that the app was installed on my device. I restarted my computer at that moment and have not been able to find that app anywhere in any of my computer files. Therefore, I was unable to find Verizon Messages on my laptop to click "RUN" and load. Any suggestions?
The last thing I attempted to do was connect my PC to a Microsoft app that would sync my phone/laptop. That worked unsuccessfully. I'm not sure I understood that whole process.
I know this is a tired topic, but I'm absolutely desperate! I need to print these text messages so my attorney can review them (along with all of my e-mails from the same healthcare providers) and pass them along to the opposing party.
Please, please, PLEASE can anyone help me?
