how do i turn on android beam?
Settings > More Networks > NFC > (Turn On) > Android Beam > (Turn On).

Hi,
In the meantime, I realized that I was trying to activate Android Pay
instead of Samsung Pay. I switched to Samsung Pay, activated it and
since it doesn't use Android Beam, things are working fine. Thanks for
trying to help.
