I recently moved from Jamestown, North Dakota to Lansing, Michigan. I have a Samsung Galaxy S4, and it worked fine for navigating my way here while driving. However, I live next to the Grand River in Lansing, in Eaton County, and have consistently had no service either inside my townhouse or in the western/southwestern part of the city. Several time while driving and using Google maps to navigate, the system would freeze. If I completely rebooted the phone, it would reconnect while on the road, but that has no effect at home. Someone told me when they moved from NYC to Lansing, they had to have Verizon change their service area, and I noticed a comment about different markets on the Samsung S4 page. Is phone/text reception a problem here or do I need to make some kind of change? Thanks!
