Are cracked screens easily and quickly replaced?
If you have an Apple Store in your area they can replace it in under an hour. If you're out of warranty you can go to any 3rd party repair facility in your area. If you're still under warranty you'll want to go to an authorized repair facilty

What did that cost you and was it a 5S?
Prices are different depending on the model but the 5s is the same as a few models if done at Apple. $129 (plus $6.95 if you mail it in). Third party retailers vary.
