So here's my situation - I have a Samsung Convoy that I use as my regular phone (with Verizon), and I also have a Galaxy S4 that a friend gave me that does not have a service plan with any carrier - I just use it with wifi like a tablet/mp3 player/podcast player. I would like to get Message+ to receive the messages from my Convoy, but when I install the app it doesn't ask for my phone number and there seems to be no place in the settings to enter it.
I think it's not asking because it's already on a phone and it's expecting to be used for that phone's messages. But of course, it's on a phone that's not really a phone. Any ideas on how to hook it up to my Convoy?
I'm trying to do this so that I can leave the Galaxy plugged in at home while I'm in the Grand Canyon for 20 days - I'll probably want my phone immediately before the trip and so it'll be left in a car, the battery will die and all of my text messages from the first 15 days or so will get deleted. I'd like to somehow prevent that from happening.
