I've had my Samsung Galaxy S5 for a year now. Months ago I started having problems. I have done a lot of research on my phone and checked out many forums but none have helped at all. I do have an SD CARD and original battery and charger.
1st Problem:
When I call people it says "dialing" and the call never goes through. I also never receive calls because it goes straight to voicemail. Sometimes my messages fail as well. This is very frustrating if I am ever in need of emergency or making plans. This seems like an easy fix until you see the next problem.
Problem #2
My phone is supposed to have 4G. Constantly, my phone keeps switching to Global Mode instead of LTE/CDMA by itself. The locks screen sometimes says roaming and has a little triangle where ita supposed to say 4G. The phone also switches to 1x constantly. Data connection to the Internet seems to work okay, but I feel this relates to problem one.
Problem #3
My battery is losing charge a lot faster now. One time I plugged in my charger aND it said to make sure I was using the original charger and battery. It wouldn't charge. I bought a brand new charger and the same problem happened. Obviously it's either the phone or the battery. I wonder if this relates to the first problems.
Ideas:
I think the problem has to do with either a faulty antenna or battery. These are the only suggestionsolution I can make to connect all problems, unless there is more than cause.
SOLUTIONS I'VE TRIED:
I havery restarted my phone thousands of times. I feel like restarting it resets the reception connection and therefore let's me text. (Still can't call). Usually I restart after a textime message fails that I'm trying to send.
Another thing I've tried is clearin my cache. Don't know why but I figured I'd try it because I've seen it before on forums.
Another thing I've tried is taking out the battery, sd card, and sim card. Still remains the same.
A lady at best buy switched my phone back to LTE/CDMA from global and reinstalled the software on my phone. Magically, I had perfect connection and could finally make calls. Five minutes later I went home and the problem still remained.
Please, someone from Verizon or someone else help me. I can't upgrade for another year and I'm stuck with this curse. I've tried everything!!!!! Hopefully, I haven't.
Thank you, Chris.
