Handcent Next SMS and mms not working

I have a galaxy s5 running the latest version of lollipop. I use both textra and the new handscent (next sms) for text messaging. I have the same issue with both apps. I cannot download mms messages. I get an error message saying check APN setting. I have change it US and VZW. I really like handcent and want to keep using it but not getting these mms is unacceptable. I am on wifi most of the time. Any thoughts????

Thanks, been there tried that. I contacted them, they told me to turn on bug report and send it to them. Did that and they could not fix it either. Also, it happens with both handcent and textra so I am guessing its not a problem with the individual apps but something else.

Anyone else have any other suggestions?

Does the stock app work? If it does, then it's the apps. If it doesn't you need to call (800) 922-0204

The stock app is hit or miss...sometimes the pic downloads and sometimes it doesn't
