I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S6. I would like to change my language to German but it is not in the list of available languages. How can I enable German language support so that choose German as my default language?
Thanks,
Paul
deuterbauch,
We always want to make sure you have all of the options you need on your phone. Currently German isn't a language that is supported on the S6. You can search the Play Store for a German keyboard or German applications which will be available but there isn't currently an option to change the entire operating system to run in German.

I researched this on my own. I finally was able to change my language by downloading the MoreLocale2 app. Since my phone has a very recent version of Android, I had to enable the app to change configuration settings using adb.
It was worth noting, that all the MoreLocale2 app does is change the language setting for Android. Once I was able to change the language setting to de-DE, many of the default apps automatically started working properly in German. For example, all the Google apps are working properly in Germany. And the default messaging app is working properly in German too.
It is very disappointing that the Verizon version of Android has removed the ability to change language to German through the normal change language UI.
