My texts are not always going through

I have a Samsung Note 2...over the past few weeks, when I send a text to someone, some of the texts are not making it to the recipient, and I can't tell which ones have made it, and which ones haven't.  Is this a problem with my phone or Verizon?  How do I fix? Help!!

Help has arrived, SLMoonbeam. It is important that all your messages are reaching their destination. How long have you had the phone? What zip are you in? Have you noticed any difference between andriod or apple?
