This number has been blocked for almost a year on my phone but the party continues to call. Online complaints say it is Verizon Wireless asking about services. Is this true?
You can add up to 5 numbers for free to the Verizon Call Blocking feature in My Verizon on postpaid accounts. You can also use an app like Truecaller from the Google Play Store.
It is a Verizon number, at least in how it is answered. The redirect it gives is to other numbers for Verizon, however I don't understand why this is the case. I have never called an 877 Verizon number. Anytime you receive a call from Verizon out of nowhere, give no information and then call *611, as that is always Verizon, and ask about the info you received from the unknown Verizon number.
I don't know why they are calling me every day -- sometime more than once a day. It is an automated Verizon assistance number.
Someone does answer, and says "Thank you for calling Verizon Wireless. If you need assistance with plans please dial 1-800-blah blah." A lot of Verizon calls, from various departments, be they Exec Relations, follow up calls, or survey calls seem to ring once and go to voicemail. I'm not using any unknown/spam blocking apps either.
How can I get these calls to stop once and for all?
