Droid and Bluetooth connection in car problem

I am having problems with the bluetooth connection in my car. I have a 2009 Nissan Altima, and i am successfully able to pair the droid and my car, but when i make a call, i can hear the other party but they cannot hear me. I tried unpairing and repairing the phone but still the same problem. Any solutions?

If you have a regular bluetooth headset laying around, I'd test that out. The A2DP bluetooth profile shouldn't be at fault, and if it pairs and passes audio I'd think it should work in full duplex.

If your headset doesn't work, then it might be that the phone is muting you. I'm assuming you checked for that right? I did that once on my iPhone, one of those *smacks forehead* types of things.

I have the same problem in my 2008 Acura RDX, but it is only intermittent. My old Verizon phone (LG 800) was no problem at all. I"m still troubleshooting to see when it works and when it does not. But, i will say that the voice quality on the Droid is much much much much lower than anything else i've used (Blackberry 8330 and LG).

This is a known problem with some Nissan and Infinitis (I have the same problem with my G35).

It has to do with how Bluetooth was implemented on that car. Don't ask me to explain the details. I have heard that Motorola is working on a firmware upgrade, but I can't confirm.

Two work arounds are available. One is to use your Android's speakerphone.

The other is make (or answer) the call - then switch quickly from the car to the handset (as if you are exiting the car) and then swtich back. takes a couple of seconds, but then the speakerphone works fine. Its annoying, but it works.

My Droid used to connect perfectly well with my 2009 Infiniti. But now it won't. I tried clearing the previous connection and re-pairing. The car acknowledges a connection after pairing. But there is no connection. The phone shows the "MY_CAR" connection option, but will not connect. Very frustrating.

After the latest Verizon update I now have a new problem - the Droid goes to "sleep" and refuses the Bluetooth request from my '08 Acura RDX. I can tap the power button and it is back online but it's a pain to bring it in and out everytime I get into the car. Any suggestions?

My 2007 Acura RDX does not connect to Verizon wireless using my Droid. Never has. I have spoken with Acura management at customer service and received copies of the lists of compatible phones, for Verizon and other carriers, only to find this is strictly a Verizon issue. The Android connects if the carrier is not Verizon. Where is the expected "fix" for this? When I called Verizon, I was told to "get a different phone."
