What do I need to do to get an out-of-contract and non-disputed Galaxy S3 4G LTE phone unlocked? I want to use it elsewhere.
Verizon 4G phones are sold unlocked. Your issue will be more with the programming of the phone to work on other carriers' APNs and whether or not they will allow your phone on their network.
So, am I understanding that the Galaxy S3 is already unlocked?
Is it 4G?

Yes, it'sa Samsung Galaxy S3 4G LTE, just over 2 years old
Thank you for the link to the unlocking policy...very useful
Glad I could help. :smileyhappy:
I plan to move to Straight Talk. ST says the Galaxy S3 4G LTE is compatible with their system but I'm not sure what else I need to know and/or find out. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Straight Talk works on ATT and Verizon, but not necessarily both at the same time. Your Verizon phone will work with ST, but only on a Verizon service area. ST will consider your area code and your model phone to determine your network. AFAIK, you only need to get a SIM and first month's fee kit to get started. Check with their website or Wal-Mart for more info. Be cautious though: it can get tricky with the BYOD program and the data that is unlimited is throttled to 64kbps speed. That is essentially useless for more than syncing email or updating a weather widget.
I appreciate the info and your help. Thank you
Snn5, we hold the key to providing the best wirless network for our devices. However, our 3G and 4G devices are unlocked. For more information regarding our unlocked device policy, click the link below:
