I had the this same issue with my last phone. We have checked and did all suggestions for wifi at home. My computer now is top speed, but my phone/texting rarely works in my bedroom and occassionly/often work in other parts of the house. Wifi says it's a phone issue. My husband's phone works fine. It's been 3 years since I've gotten even moderately consistent reception at home. At work, traveling, etc is never an issue.
