Just found a dead pixel on my phone after purchasing about a month and a half ago. Getting a replacement, how reliable are these certified like new replacements? The device is a Samsung Galaxy Note 5
In my experience, (3 "Certified like new" devices over the years) they have been as good as new devices. I have heard the horror stories though, of replacement after replacement with something always not working. For one dead pixel, I wouldn't take the chance on a refurbished device. If other things start going wrong, the problem may be deeper than one dead pixel and a replacement may be better. But as long as the rest of the phone is functioning normally, personally, I would not have it replaced at this point.
I would say good as new from my exp.
I would have the same question in your shoes nicholas_g. As a matter of fact, I recently needed to replace my Note 5 under the warranty. I can let you know that these replacements are just like new. They go through an extensive process to make sure that they are. And from personal experience, I can let you know that my replacement was as good as new, I could not tell the difference.
