Screen cracked by falling on couch

I recently purchased the new Htc no contract Verizon wireless phone. I have the receipt for it and everything. I ordered it online because I really was looking for the perfect phone for me. I love this phone. Is there any warrantee or faulty device coverage since it literally fell two feet from my hand info r the couch?? Paid quite a lot for it and I except this sort of crack from an apple but not you guys. Please help. Been a customer for over 7 years.Jes Burk

The warranty does not cover cracks in the screen.

As mentioned, the manufacturers warranty won't cover a crack unless it specifically says that it does (can't recall what phone has been showing commercials saying it comes with "Uh Oh" coverage). If you don't have insurance that covers cosmetic damage then you will have to replace it yourself.

FYI I've never heard of an iPhone screen cracking just because it was dropped on a couch. Unless you dropped it on a hard surface of the couch (maybe wooden trim for example) I can't imagine an iPhone screen cracking that easily....or most phone screens to be honest. Unless I misread your original post I'm curious if your phone hit something hard to cause the crack.
