What do I do about my broken phone?

I somehow managed to run over my Galaxy S5 phone this weekend, and even though it was in a lifeproof case, it was completely destroyed.  I have the Edge plan, with two lines.  The balance remaining on the phone is about $350.  My question is, what is the cheapest way to go about replacing this phone?  I am allowed to upgrade once I pay the $350 to pay the phone off.  I can get a used Galaxy S5 from a 3rd party for $250, which I'd rather do.  Can I just purchase the phone from a 3rd party and have them activate the device and keep paying my monthly fee?  I don't want to screw up my plan either, since there is some kind of discount for having Edge.  I don't need my bill going up too.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

We are terribly sorry to learn of the damage that has happened to you device, cch1309. Help is here though and we appreciate you reaching out! As far as replacing the device, this can be done in a few different ways. If you have insurance associated with the device,  you can complete a claim in order to have a replacement sent to you. Depending on who the insurance is through, this can vary on the deductible but checking with the insurance company would be the best course of action. If you do not happpen to have insurance, purchasing the device through a third party or through our Certified Pre-Owned program would be an option as well. Rest assured this will not make any changes to the Edge Agreement as the monthly discount/charges would still be in place till the original device is paid off.
