Not receiving all texts after switching from iPhone 5 to Galaxy s6 Edge plus

I just upgraded to a galaxy s6 edge + from an iphone 5, and now I'm not receiving the majority of text messages. I already deactivated my imessage and FaceTime accounts which did not help the issue. Group messaging is especially troublesome. I group texted five iphone 6 users at once...all received the message, however I could only see responses from two of the five users. Please help!!

We never want you missing any messages Szor. Let’s see what we can do to make sure these all come through for you. You mentioned deactivating your accounts. Did you follow the steps in this link: http://spr.ly/6580BpPug. What text app are you using with your S6? Do you know if the users that you couldn’t get the messages from, if the messages to you showed up as texts or iMessages?

Yes, I went through all of these steps...I'm using the Verizon Message+

App that comes on the phone. Is there another app I should be using? The

messages stayed as imessages when sent from the iphone users...there

wasn't an option to switch to text. Thanks,

Getting your text messaging working again is very important. If you have already followed all the steps available here: https://selfsolve.apple.com/deregister-imessage then the next option would be to contact Apple and ensure your number is removed from your Apple ID. This is why your friends with iPhones are still sending as iMessages. Their phones still think you are using an iPhone.
