I'm currently on the $60 1GB single line plan, about halfway through my two year contract. It was cheaper than the More Everything plan with half as much data, and sadly the best deal they had at the time. Now I see new plans, and for a while I'm really excited. It looks like I can triple my data and save $4 a month!
Until I click over to review the changes to my plan before confirmation. Suddenly my $20 line access changes to $40 and instead of saving $4 I'm about to be spending $15 more. Worst part? There's NO CANCEL BUTTON. Only an option to pick a date to start the new billing and a "Confirm" button at the bottom. I had to navigate away from the page itself to get out of it.
It turns out that $40 line access charge would last until my current contract expires. So am I missing something? Verizon is penalizing current contracted customers for changing to a new plan (obviously with the intent to stay with the company even longer, go figure). That just doesn't make sense. And if I was going to have a $40 line access charge, why did it tell me $20 at first and then change it in between pages without any explanation or warning? A
