Samsung Galaxy Note 5 using data when connected to wifk

I have my samsung galaxy note 5 connected to wifi 95% of the time I'm using Internet services but lately I have noticed that it has been using data when connected to wifi what's going on in rarely use up to 75% or my 3gb of data which has happened for the current and previous billing cycle what's going on I'm getting frustrated with this happening.

Unknown data usage can be cause for alarm. We definitely want your data charges to be accurate. Lets get this fixed. Smartphones can now tell you what exactly used the billed data. On the Samsung Note 5 please go to settings>Data>click on the billed cycle. It will show which application used the data. Devices are designed to use the strongest signal at all times. If the Network signal is stronger than the Wi-fi the device will use the network signal. Please turn off the cellular data when connected to Wi-fi to keep unwanted cellular charges from occurring.
