When I receive a text, it gives me an audible notification but after that is done, it does not put an icon on the display.

I have a Droid Mini. About 90% of the time that I get a text, it only gives me the audible notification. It does not give me the message icon on the top of the phone. Therefore, if I don't hear the audible sound, I have no idea there's a new text message. How can I fix this?

Did you enable the privacy feature to hide notification events?

• In the “Settings” screen, touch “Apps.”
• On the “Apps” screen, scroll through the list of apps and touch the app for which you want to receive notifications.
• The “App info” screen displays for the selected app. Touch the “Show notifications” checkbox so there’s is a check mark in the box.
