I have tried for three days to enter a phone number to block on the free feature "block calls and messages" that should allow me to enter up to five number and block them for up to 90 days. I've tried numerous time and always get the same error message that "my request was unable to be processed at this time. try again later."
I've read several posts about this same issue from other people and it appears to be a long standing problem with Verizon going back for a long, long time.
As with other people, I have tried logging in using various devices (laptop, mobile) and browsers (IE, Safari, Firefox), and do not subscribe to familybase.
I had a brief phone call with customer service this morning and was placed on hold for 15 minutes, only to have my call dropped. So I tried a live chat and was encouraged that the rep had actually fixed it as they stated (see transcript of chat session below). Sorry chat rep "Cindy Lou" but you didn't fix it and could have waited 30 seconds while I tried to see if your "fix" worked.

: Yes. It is a free feature that is supposed to allow me to block up to 5 numbers for a 90 day period.

Come on Verizon. Read the posts and either fix the stupid feature or delete it. Just don't keep frustrating customers and driving to vent in these forums year after year.
