How do I restore my Google icons at the top of the screen?

I lost the icon bar at top of phone screen. That allows voice requests for finding places and businesses.:-/ how do I get it back

Long press an empty area on your home screen.  Choose Widgets from the choices (Wallpapers, Settings, Widgets....) and scroll till you find the Google app - tap it and you can place it where you'd like.
