I would like to send emails to text messages to employee's Android Samsung S6 phones that would select different tones on the phone when they are received. Also I would like to indicate URGENCY in the message somehow.
You can send emails with priority settings - depending on your email client you should have options to set the priority. How that translates on the end users phone after going through the conversion to text messages would be dependent on the carrier and phone settings, I would think.
The notification tone the user gets is also dependent on their individual phone settings - I doubt you can control that. Also, each carrier has a different email to text addressing system, so you would need to know each person's carrier - if they are all on Verizon, then it would be as tbo27 said - the ten digit # followed by vtext.com, or vzwpix.com for MMS messages.
I don't know if that's possible. 123456789@vtext.com but the sounds may need some app
