How do I get photos from The Cloud into my Gallery on my new Samsung S4

Transitioning from a Motorola to a Samsung S4mini today. When I open Verizon Cloud it says all my photos from the Motorola are there - but when I look in my Gallery on the Samsun there are none. What do I need to do? Likewise with all my text messages - Cloud says they are backed up and there and to go to my device messaging system - but they aren't there.

Getting a new phone is always exciting and keeping your files safe during the transition is a must. Please go to the Verizon Cloud app from the new phone, then click on the Menu option>Backup now. Your phone will do a full restore of the files that have been previously backed up . If they show as backed up after following these steps, please let me know if you see a restore option as this would work as well. It will take about 45 minutes to complete depending on your WIFI connection. Please keep me posted on how this works for you.

Thank you much for your response. We did eventually find the solution - while accessing "the cloud" from my new phone we just kept opening the different options and found TOOLS - RESTORE. I'd done the back up per the recommendation of a gentleman at the Verizon store. This did save all of my photos (and other data) from the old phone but did NOT bring it all over to the new. Once we found the RESTORE option in the TOOLS section of "the cloud" everything came in - albeit as you mention in 45 minutes or so. I'm very satisfied! In the past I've lost photos, text, contacts.....it's really very nice to know I haven't lost all of that this time around! Thank you for "The Cloud"!
