I got this new phone and can't receive texts. I set messages as my defalt. Any suggestions?

Congrats on your new phone! We always want your messages to flow smoothly. Lets get this fixed. What happens when your phone attempts to receive a message? Do you receive any error messags? Is your old phone still powered on or off?
