I bought a phone about 2 weeks ago. I spoke to a vet nice lady on the phone who helped me to get a good deal on a 6s. My husband did not want me to enter into a 2 year contract because he said he believed that we would be taken advantage of and have no escape. I however talked him into it thinking that Verizon was not that type of company. The representative then let me know that my bill would increase by $15 a month because I would be losing my month to month discount. I told her that inhabit thought of that and would not be able to go through with it. My husband would only agree to a 2 year agreement if the bill was not going to increase. I was disappointed that I was not going to be able to get my new phone. The representative was super nice at this point and started working with her supervisor to figure something out for me. The supervisor told me that he was able to give me a promotion that would take $15 off my line each month for 1 year. After that, I would pay a higher bill for 1 year until my contract ended. My husband and I agreed that it was a great deal and worth signing into a contract. I was very happy and told everyone how awesome your company had treated me. Then the bill came. It was higher than it was supposed to be, so I called in. I was told that there was no promotion added and none available at this time. I tried repeatedly to explain what happened, but was repeated told there was no promotion available at this time because I was already in contract. The only reason we signed into contract was because of that promotion. I spoke to 2 supervisors. one tried to give me a credit for the $15 for two months which is not even close to what I was told I would be saving. That's a difference of $150. The other supervisor said that I was trying to get an "un-warrented" credit on my bill for $15 off each month. As if I just thought of this myself and was trying to get them to implement it. When I explained the situation, she said that my husband not wanting to pay more was not a good enough reason to get the promotion. She completely talked down to me and treated me like I was trying to cheat the system. I thought that the promotion was given as an incentive to enter into contract. I asked her to listen to the phone conversation that I had because I know that they are recorded. She told me that they couldn't because it was a outsourced call center. I'm literally shocked I am beyond upset at the way I was treated today. I feel like I was tricked and lied to in order to sign a contract. I had no idea that Verizon could behave this unprofessionally. Is this even legal? We take our bills very seriously and covered every question before we signed. We were assured that our bill would not changed for 1 year. It's all recorded, but no one cares. We are now being treated by Verizon workers as if they have power over us and as if we are some sort of dirt bags trying to steal money from their pockets. I was told that someone would call me, but I could tell from her voice that she had absolutely no intention to help me.
