Hot Battery

I have Samsung galaxy 5 and it's only 6 months old and since I have started skyping my battery gets really hot. I have been using it for Internet you tube etc before for long periods without it getting hot. It does this now all the time. ..should I get it replaced? Still under warranty

Let's cool things off and keep your battery running smoothly! I understand a warm or hot battery can be concerning. Is this only happening when using Skype? Does this happen in all locations?

Skype is CPU intensive and can heat the phone up faster than a YouTube video would normally do. It may not be the battery in this case.

If your S5 was purchased 6 months ago brand new (not used/resold/open box), you can RMA the battery with Samsung. I would purchase another one to use while your battery is out for RMA. That way, when you get a replacement battery back, you have two which can be used for quick swaps.
