Tried it when I upgraded my phone and don't like the visual voicemail application.
How do I unistall Visual Voicemail and cancel the monthly fee?
You can cancel your subscription by calling Customer Service and having them remove it for you.
Or you can do it thru your MyVerizon account. Once you log in to MyVerizon you should see a row of tabs. Click on the MyServices tab and then on the left you'll see a column, in the column click on MyPlan. You'll see a summary of your plan details then your feature details. Where it lists your optional features there should be a link that says "Add/Remove Features" click on that to edit your setup. Near the bottom on the page should be the option for Visual Voicemail; just unclick the box and save.
To actually remove the application from your phone you want to go to the menu where you normally access the application, but instead of clicking on it you should have Options at the bottom of your screen. Click on options then choose "erase/remove/delete" application. That should uninstall it from your phone.
Only option on the phone is to delete the actual MESSAGES, not the visual voicemail application itself.
As for the subscription, I was able to find the page where the app SHOULD be, but isn't.
Guess I gotta do the in-store method : (
Did you miss the part where I said you can call in and get it cancelled? They can also walk you thru removing the app. Save yourself the gas, just call 800-922-0204 from a seperate line and they'll help you out.
The option to remove the voicemail is not available online. On the Features page, all of the options have the add/remove button except this one. Verizon's as usually not very technology savvy.
