I have a grandfathered unlimited data/talk/text plan, going on a month to month contract.
Is there any way that I can change the phone number on the account WITHOUT losing the unlimited data plan?
You should be able to. Who said you would lose your plan? You should be able to do it online. The only time you lose unlimited is if you change your plan, or upgrade,

That I am unsure of. A port is different than a number change.
if you are doing port in telephone change yes you can ..after completion what ever price plan and feature you have will carry over to ported number so in another words when you change from A to B what's on A be carry over to B .you can do that online or by calling CSR
