Verizon Plan or More Everything w/ Edge

We have the Verizon Edge and can upgrade in Dec. 2016. I see that if I switch to Verizon Plan I can get 6GB up from 3GB for only $10 which is good but what do I lose? Do I keep the Edge program if so what happens when I get ready to upgrade? Will it cost me more to upgrade? If I switch will I lose the $15 discount off the line access fee? Basically I need to find out what will change on my bill and what will change as far as upgrades?

Excellent questions! Upgrading with the Verizon Plan is very similar to what you're already use to, its called the Device Payment Program, formerly known as EDGE. It allows you to pay for your device over 24 months. There truly are no downsides. If you have further questions just let us know.

For you, switching to the Verizon Plan should be a better deal than what you currently have, however possibly not if you stayed with More Everything and ALSO upgraded your allowance to 6 GB.

With the Verizon Plan your line access fees would drop from $25(with the $15 discount) to $20. That comes to $40 for 2 lines. 6 GB of data would be another $60 for a total amount of $100 before phone cost and taxes/fees. That is what you are currently paying.

If you chose to stay with More Everything, 6 GB of data is $70 and your line access fees should drop to $15/line(with a $25 discount instead of $15 discount). That comes to $30 in total line access fees. That would be a total bill of $100 before phone cost and taxes/fees. Incidentally, your taxes/fees should drop because your line access fees dropped.

It appears whichever you choose, it would end up being the same cost as what you are currently paying. Probably even a BIT less as your taxes/fees would drop either way, from $25/line down to $20/line if you switch to the Verizon Plan and down to $15/line if you stay with More Everything.
