I think my number is blocked but not sure. I do I unblock my number?
If it's going to their voicemail you aren't blocked (unless they blocked you using their device blocking...then yes, you can be sent straight to voicemail. They won't see when you call or see your messages unless they look in the blocked menu (at least this applies to iPhones). If you were blocked you can't do anything about it. The person doing the blocking has to choose to unblock you. Another possibility may be that they have a feature like Do Not Disturb turned on...

Not exactly. I was trying to find out if I had been blocked from calling someone else. When I call it goes to VM and there is no personalized outgoing message. Just the electronic version stating the number I called. Does this mean the other party blocked me. I know they have an outgoing personal message on their phone

Birds2, all that means is the person you're trying to call has their phone turned OFF. So it goes right to the voicemail as you describe. The reason you're not getting a personalized greeting is because that person hasn't hasn't created a customized greeting.
No trees were harmed by this message. However, several trillion electrons were extremely inconvenienced.

There is a little crescent moon symbol by the text message that I recently sent someone. Does that mean they have blocked me? They have not responded.
