I just came across my bill where I am being charged $50 for unlimited data when for the past 10 years it has been $30.

LAst month I noticed my bill was higher than normal so I decided to look at my bill which I haven't done in forever because ive never had any changes. Come to find out since December my unlimited data had been changed from $30 to $50 without my knowledge. Umm are you kidding me, I've had this same plan for 10+ years and verizon thinks they can just go change things without notice. I made my payment of what I normally am charged and are now getting threaten that my services could be interrupted if I dont make the rest of the payment. I am not a happy customer right now. Has this happened to anyone else?!

Good luck. It happened all unlimited users and people were notified. At least 1 month in advanced.

Take a look at the bill right before the increase or the one before that. The notification was on the bill before the increase was implemented. I know this because my own bill had the same notification.

As mentioned, this has happened to all of us with unlimited data plans. Because you chose not to review your bills monthly you missed seeing the notification about the increase. That does not mean you aren't responsible for paying the full balance. You are. You kept the service (regardless of if you failed to read the bill and see the notification telling you that an increase would occur on your following bill) so you must pay for it. So yes, if you refuse to pay the portion you didn't pay they can disconnect service.
