how much is the monthly bill for 3 gig data smartphone plan?

I want to upgrade my device now while the sales are good. However I do not want to pay arm and a leg for services, I was prepaid and got switched to non contract account. I want to go for 2 year upgrade but am curious how much a month my bill would be for 3 gig smartphone plan.

If you are going from a prepaid account to postpaid, Verizon no longer offers 2 year contracts. This means they no longer subsidize device prices. They now offer the Verizon Plan, which allows you to choose your data bucket in tiers. Monthly data plans are S (1 GB - $30.00), M (3 GB - $45.00), L (6 GB - $60.00), XL (12 GB - $80.00) XXL (18 GB -$100.00). If you need more data, they offer higher buckets of data. The monthly line access fee for a smart phone is $20.00 per device. All data plans are shared data. Each additional smart phone incurs a $20.00 line access fee.

Turbo98363, was just in a Walmart earlier this week and they were offering the iPhone 6s Plus in 16 GB on a 2 year contract for $228, and a Samsung s6 for .98 cents on a 2 year contract, and there happened to be a Verizon rep at the store at the time. Also I'm on a plan that doesn't share data.

The reason I'm point this out to you is because you cannot fully rely on this forum to get correct info. Just 2 days ago there was a similar post that was completely wrong, yet it received a Correct answer. So the poor person who actually made the post would now leave thinking, guess I can't upgrade or get a new phone now.

I highly suggest you go to a Verizon corporate store rather than a franchise store for best results, or even a Walmart, but any place other than here. The 3GB for $60 is probably correct.

Verizon Wireless (NYSE: VZ) is clarifying that despite its recent introduction of new plans that do away with two-year contracts and subsidized smartphones for new customers, existing customers who have two-year contracts can renew them and keep getting subsidized phones.

The OP stated they were conning from a prepaid account, not postpaid. Prepaid accounts are not contract. So changing to a plan other than prepaid, the OP was not under a contract. So, the OP does NOT meet the requirements to enter into a 2 year contract, since they are no longer offered, UNLESS you are currently under a contract.
