We switched to Verizon in the fall of 2013. We had just moved into our new home and our prior carrier had no service there. We were happy with Verizon because we actually had adequate signal. By a year later though, the signal started becoming worse and worse. We called Verizon and we got a Network Extender. However, it never really worked well. It is connected, have full signal, but every single call drops, and often texts will fail as well even though we have data connected. Now I am reading that the Network Extender does not work hooked up to Satellite Internet. We have NO OTHER internet option at the location except satellite.
In our several calls to Verizon over the years, nobody has been able to answer WHY we had pretty good signal when we first got Verizon and then it became so terrible that we needed an Extender. The thing is totally worthless. Most of the time it is just an annoyance, but what if there is an emergency or something and I need to speak to someone without static, not being able to hear the other person, dropped calls, etc?
Is there any way to check and see why the signal degraded and improve it again?
