Unlocked Phones

Hello . Just wanted to know first before I buy a unlocked phone , does Verizon support GSM ? I have a mini droid and it gives options like GSM , CDSM?? . the phone I wanted to purchase is a Samsung Ace 4 .. The dealership posted a notice to make sure it was possible to be supported before purchasing .

CDMA is what Verizon supports. Most unlock and unbranded phones will not work on Verizon

i chatted with someone on Verizon. and they said they welcomed any unlocked phone from 3rd party .Hopefully they support voice & data on the unlocked GSM device.

No that isn't true.

Here are the requirements for an unlocked and unbranded device to work on Verizon

Must be:

CDMA and support the spectrum needed to connect using CDMA

Must have Band 13 for LTE

Must pass certification for use on Verizon network

Currently only unlocked and unbranded device that work known to date.

Nexus 6, 5X, 6P.

IPhone 6 and higher.

Moto X 2015

You can use a Verizon branded(they are unlocked anyway if LTE) as they already went through the process.
