setting up voicemail

It's been a while since I've used the voicemail on my cell phone - and honestly, I haven't missed it at all. But circumstances have changed and I need to activate it now - but I don't want to leave my name as the voicemail message. I just want it to say "You have reached XXX-XXX-XXXX, leave a message" etc. However, that wasn't an option when I set it up. Is there a back way into this, or is it just the way it is now with Verizon voicemail?

You can record a personal greeting, or the leave the standard greeting and record your name, or just have it repeat the number - When you call in, choose 4 for Personal options, then Greeting, and choose the standard greeting.  If you don't get Personal Option s and Greeting options, what do you get?
