My son has a Galaxy S6.
My wife has a Galaxy S5.
They have been using them for over a year on Verizon.
As of yesterday, 2016-01-18, they are unable to make or receive calls.
Their phones still show 5-bars and 4G active.
My phone, Nexus 5X, and my daughter's phone, Droid Mini, still work just fine.
It gets more interesting.
They cannot make or receive calls while in our home, but if they drive away for awhile they suddenly can again.
So whatever the problem is, it seems to depend on which cell tower they're close to.
This is not a roaming problem, though. Remember. My phone and my daughters phone still work fine and are not roaming at home.
This has to be due to some change that Verizon has made or some update that the phones received (or failed to receive in time to go with a Verizon change), since 2 similar phones stopped working at about the same time.
However, my wife has done a factory reset on her phone, and the problem persists.
She tried booting into safe mode, and the problem persists.
